BFGI
is continuously organizing several expert lectures, seminars and conferences to
impart knowledge to the students regarding latest techniques and inventions in
the technical world. To continue this traditions, Baba Farid College Of Engg
& Technology organized an expert lecture on the topic of “ STATIC AND
DYNAMIC FORCE ANAYLSIS OF MACHINES” by the renowned researcher Prof. Sunil
Kumar Baghla, Senior Assistant professor, Department of Mechanical, Yadavindra
college of Engg, Punjabi University Guru Kashi Campus, Talwandi sabo.
The
Expert lecture was organized for the students of department of Mechanical. He
discussed about various force that were acted upon machines and their analysis
in static and dynamic conditions. Students found their lecture very informative
and glad to hear such eminent personality. In the End Prof. Sunil Kumar Baghla
was thanked by Mr. Ajay Sidana, Head Department of mechanical for taking time
out from his busy schedule to listen the expertise. Prof. Manish Goyal, Principal
BFCET appreciated the efforts done by Department of Mechanical Engineering to
hold expert Lecture & to make students more aware and informative.
Mr.
Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Managing Director BFGI expressed his satisfaction on
the conduct of expert lecture and further added that students should take
maximum benefit to raise their knowledge level as per the advancement of
technology day by day. He ensures that similar activities will continue to be
happened in future also.

Robotic Arm with Pneumatic Energy by Mechanical Engg.(BFCET)
Description:-
The
robotic arm will work on compressed air. The compressed air from compressor
will to go to each of three cylinders and actuator after passing through
Pressure Control Valve and FLR(Filter lubricator Regulator) with the help of
Distributor . There will be a solenoid on actuator which will be operator by an
adapter. Timer mechanism will help to operate solenoid. It is used to set the
time of on/off position. It is attached to solenoid by proper electronic
circuit to have automatic control of material handling. Pressure adapters are
used for effective connection of pipes. And pressure control adapters are used
in cylinders to control the pressure .

Utility
1. We are making it for IAR
lab as there is no robotic arm . Moreover
it works in Volumetric space
means it picks up object from any part of volume and can place it to anywhere
with respect to 360 angle from starting point.
2. Generally the robotic arm
available in market works in line to line.
3. The market minimum price
for robotic arm is 1,80,000 rs. and we are making it approximately 50,000 rs.
4. It has mechatronic
technology means combination of electronics and mechanical.
5. Pneumatic robotic arm is
more sensible as compare to Electronic robot arm, Pneumatic robotic arm able to
pick up more heavy weight and long life as compare to Electronic robotic arm,
Applications of robotic arm
Robotic arm was made for holding space scientists in
space.
After that its also using in industry in various
operations like :- Material handling
For spraying paint ,Used in operations which are
dangerous for worker .
